John C. Polera

    John C. Polera is the President and sole shareholder of The Law Office of John C. Polera, P. C.   He has been practicing for over 32 years and represents clients in New York and Connecticut in probate, trusts and estate planning and administration, tax planning, tax preparation and compliance, residential and commercial real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and business planning. John is also admitted to practice in federal and state courts in New York and Connecticut, including the United States tax court. John is also of Counsel to Stagg, Terenzi, Confusione and Wabnik, LLP, located in Garden City, New York. With a Master of Laws in Taxation, in addition to his Juris Doctorate, and admitted to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Connecticut, John offers clients a unique perspective in his approach to his client's issues and offers them a strong foundation for their financial and taxation issues.

     John is a graduate of Boston University School of Law with a Master of Laws in Taxation (LLM), graduating in the top 20% of his class; received his Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of Miami school of Law; and his undergraduate degree from Tulane University where, in addition to graduating Cum Laude, he also was a varsity letterman in track and field and the winner of the John S. Oelkers Athletic Award.        

     John has worked on the number of large corporate transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, refinancing of corporate borrowing facilities of up to $100 million, as well as having worked on estates exceeding $100 million. John also represented Andrew Robustelli, who was a nationally recognized football player having played for the New York Giants and a member of the NFL Football Hall of Fame, and his companies for more than 20 years before his death in 2011.
